About us
This isn't what social media was meant to be.So we built it again.
A social network you can put down. Built only from people you've actually met.
Why we exist
We built the thing we couldn't find.
A network where the feed has an end. Where your photos have a number. Where nobody sells your attention while you look.
We're not against phones. We use them. We're against what they were turned into. And we know we're part of the same system. That's why it had to be built, not just said.
txtme.social — Amsterdam
Our story
It started when the world opened again.

The pause
After the lockdowns, most of our friendships lived on a screen. Then the doors opened. The apps didn't let go. We went back out and kept scrolling, right past the people in front of us.
The question
txtme.social began in Amsterdam with one question: what if a social network started where the others stop? Offline.
The answer
Not another app to fill the gap. A place that holds on to what happens when you close it.
We didn't wait for someone else to build it. Nobody was going to.

What we hold on to
- Offline first. Every connection starts with a meeting. Not with a search, not with a suggestion.
- Real over fake. No followers to perform for. No numbers to chase. The people you see are people you've met.
- Your data stays yours. Private by default. No selling, no tracking, no surveillance.
- Nothing pulls at you. No algorithm, no ads. Nothing in the app is built to keep you in it.
- Independent and European. Independently run from Amsterdam. European servers, European rules.
How it works
Four steps. No search.
Every connection starts offline. There is no search. No usernames to find, no suggestions of people you might know. You connect one way: someone you meet scans your code. Everyone has one. It's on your phone, and on the back of every piece in this shop. The shirt is the gateway: you link the code once after it arrives, and from then on it points to you.

Concept
Social media, with the parts that hurt taken out.
Twelve screens from the app. And what's behind each one.
01 / 12
A feed that ends
Twelve stories a day, then it's over. Posts disappear after 45 days; what should stay goes into your memory vault. Strangers' profiles stay invisible, even when friends share their content.

Where it's going
Small company. Big mission.
Bring people together where they actually are. At home, in your city, and everywhere you travel.
- 01
In your city
Cafés, bars and venues that share the same values join the network. People nearby find them because they're real. Not because they paid.
- 02
On the road
Trips, holidays, the girls' trip, the boys' trip. The people you meet along the way don't vanish with the flight home. One scan, and they stay.
- 03
Beyond Europe
Drafted in Amsterdam, started in the Netherlands, launched in Europe. Built from day one for the rest of the world.
Our promise
You are not the product. You never should have been.
No ads. No algorithm. Your data is never for sale. These aren't features. They're the reason this exists.
It was never about merch.
Friendships, relationships, community: these are moments that happen offline. txtme.social is only the digital shell that keeps them. We need people who put the phone down, stay in the moment, and connect afterwards. The shirt is where it starts.
