Who or what is txtme.social?

A European social media app, built in Amsterdam. It starts where the others stop: in real life. You're only connected to people you've actually met. No algorithm, no ads, no data selling.

What is the txtme.social app?

The digital home for connections that started offline. A profile with twelve photos, messages, group chats with an expiry, a map of real places and Live Pulse. For iOS and Android. Launch is announced.

What does txtme.social stand for?

Offline over online. Real over fake. Your data stays yours. We're not against tech. We're against manipulation, performance and fake connection.

Trust

Does txtme.social speak for communities?

No. Communities in the app belong to the people who start them. We provide the room, not the opinion. What's said there is said by the members, not by us.

Does txtme.social impose any censorship?

We remove what breaks our Community Guidelines or the law: violence, hate, harassment, illegal content. Opinions we don't like are not on that list. A person decides, not a machine, and you can appeal.

Does txtme.social have any AI features?

No. No AI features, no AI moderation, and your data doesn't train any model. People talk to people. That's the whole point.

Does txtme.social have any algorithms?

No recommendation algorithm. Your feed shows what your connections share, in the order it happened. Twelve stories a day, then it ends. Nobody decides for you what you should see.

Does txtme.social sell my data anonymously?

No. Not anonymised, not aggregated, not to ad partners. There are no ads, so there's nobody to buy your data. It's stored in Europe.

What is the txtme.social “memories” vault?

Posts disappear after 45 days. What matters to you goes into your vault before that. It stays there, for you, not for the feed. Memories, not an archive.

Merch and orders

What is the txtme.social merch?

T-shirts, tank tops, cropped tops, plus caps and bags. Every piece carries a QR code that leads to your personal profile in the app. Someone you meet scans it, and you're connected. The shirt is the gateway, not the product.

Which countries are included in shipping?

Across Europe and internationally through our shipping partner. Every parcel ships insured, and shipping is included in the price. The exact country list and delivery times go on the shipping page as soon as they're fixed.

How can I pay for my merch?

Through Mollie in Amsterdam: Wero, iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Bancomat Pay or direct bank transfer. You enter your payment details at Mollie, not with us. All prices include VAT.
